SUMMARY:2024 IES Lighting Education Tour
DESCRIPTION:IES is expanding the impact of standards-based education by curating a unique educational tour experience. Earn 6 CEUS/AIA-HSWs at this one-day event\, featuring expert-lead sessions on color and vision fundamentals and current research pertaining to the impact of light on human physiology and behavior. Two IES Standards are included in the cost of registration as part of the educational event: IES TM-18-18 Light and Human Health: An Overview of the Impact of Optical Radiation on Visual\, Circadian\, Neuroendocrine\, and Neurobehavioral Responses and ANSI/IES RP-46-23 Recommended Practice: Supporting the Physiological and Behavioral Effects of Lighting in Interior Daytime Environments. Attend to learn how to navigate designing for\, and conversing about light and health with clients\, occupants and fellow professionals in the field. \nLunch is included in the registration cost. \nKim Mercier and Karen Murphy are our presenters at each location. Kim is an architectural lighting designer at LDi and an instrumental member of the IES Light & Human Health Committee. Karen is an architectural lighting designer with HDR\, and the Chair of the IES Healthcare committee.
